Well it was a great day at the weekend when I tried my hand at being a stand up comic. It felt like I was walking along a cliff edge and even occassionaly leaning over but I don’t think I fell off!!
The look on the mother of the grooms face when I said that the groom would have to get used to hearing filthy four letter words he hadn’t heard since leaving home…words like ‘tidy, cook, wash, iron’ was classic.
What was nice was that he was still speaking to me afterwards!
In fact it is such an honour to be considered someones best male friend (even if there were two best men that day!). I didn’t even feel like the 2nd best man!
Actually someone asked me if I was an actor that day! So I felt pretty good about my effort!
The other best man was a real help also and there was not a dry eye at the church when they finally got hitched.
Marriage is definitely to be recommended.
