Tonight at our small group we chatted about the sermon from sunday. We spoke about having a calling, and how although God calls us to things, he always first calls us to the hear and now. As usual my wife was full of wisdom. She was talking about not being too future minded and said-

Today is yesterday’s future.

In defining wisdom, we said it was

Knowledge applied to the hear and now.

The ability to know what to do and to tell right from wrong.

The ability to graciously and lovingly reveal the truth

Knowledge is gained, wisdom is given.
