Well, here I am sitting in my car next about 2 metres from the sea. I have been left with two sleeping kids to enjoy my music (Daniel Bedingfield) with the windows open and the sounds and smell of the sea lapping around me.
Suddenly its all worth it- the late nights at work to ‘clear the decks’ the packing (OK so my ever patient wife did most of that!), the being wrestled out of bed at a ridiculous hour for a long drive.
There is some primeval drive that draws us to moments like this- beats the M25!!!
