I really like your web log and would appreciate some advice from you. I also have a web log and believe that I have good things to share with people through my articles and messages. But I wonder how I might increase traffic to the site. Any advice on how I can do this? Any counsel you can provide would be great!

There are a number of things that people can do that will certainly bring more traffic. A while back Jollyblogger posted on this subject, and Diva Marketing also gives some good advice, and both posts link to other useful articles. I will highlight my own top ten things to do that are guaranteed to help bring you more traffic and are easy to carry out.

1. Ensure your site is listed at google
2. Turn on individual post pages
3. Ensure that each post page has a unique title
4. Make your post titles into active links that direct you to the permalink
5. List an XML feed, and preferably NOT only an Atom one.
6. Have a blogroll where you promote other blogs (you scratch my back, I�ll scratch yours) www.blogrolling.com offer a great service for this.
7. Join every list of blogs you can find. This would definitely include the Blog Carnivals
8. If you are a God Blogger, join Blogs4God, the Blogdom of God, the evangelical aggregator and the reformed aggregator (if you qualify!)
9. Visit other blogs, comment on them on their site and mention them on your site
10. Post great material on your blog and the readers will come!
