I couldnt get very far without referring to my friend Jollyblogger. He has a typically great post on the relative lack of an evangelistic impact for the Passion.
I am not sure I share his pessimism about preaching crusades however. People are saved by them. I do agree however that it is in fact a regular exposure to the truth within the context of relationships that make a difference to people. Faith comes by hearing preaching both the kind that is done in front of a group of people, and the kind that is done by a friend proclaiming the gospel to you, especially if that friend is a part of a Christian community that you are begining to relate to and recognise as a group of people you want to spend time with.
It is the church that is the answer to the worlds need for God.
