I am late to mention this, but as the night has gone on I realised I couldnt go to bed without doing something practical about the disaster that is unfolding before us.

The following are a few organisations you can donate to in the knowledge that relief will flow to the victims of this catastrophe.

I have donated personally to all of these tonight. The first two can claim back tax on gifts donated by UK residents.

The last of these, the American Red Cross is raising money at breakneck speed thanks to Amazon. Just a few hours ago the total stood at 2 million dollars, and as I write this it has topped THREE MILLION. Amazon have done a great thing by doing this.
