Tamasin's childrens story- THE SORNOCKS

My daughter Tamasin is showing an interest in this blog, here is a story she has written that we thought it would be nice to include!

Thank you, lord screamed Simon as he teared open the curtains to see that the whole entire garden was covered in white cold icy snow. Everyone gathered round to see the amazing sight.

The children all raced into their clothes socks shoes and coats and raced outside. Simon and Sarah started to make a giant snowball. Then, Suzanne started to join in. Samuel was jealous so he tried to open the garden door. But he couldnt. Then mum came and opened the garden door, and let Samuel out into the ice cold snowy ground. Soon it got quite cold and they all stepped in to dry out. Then they went back outside. Soon it was time for school. Sarah was very excited to go to school because she was going to make a snowman with her friend Sonia

A person told us that school was closed for it had been cancelled because there was a gas leak. So they all cheered and raced back home. On our way they saw their friends Shevin and Sam and they invited them to come over. They all cheered as the two mums agreed.

So they all went home. Simon didnt know he said are you coming round our house? their mum said yes. Everyone raced home. They said goodbye to sheral and susan.

When they got home, Sam and Simon started to play a game. Sarah and Shevin joined in. Then everyone had a snowball fight except the two mums.

Then Simon and Sarahs mum unlocked the front door and all of the children raced out into the back garden and started to play another snow ball fight.

Shevin got bored and went inside leaving Sarah Sam and Simon playing. Soon Sarah got bored and went inside leaving the two boys playing happily. Sam threw a snowball at Simon, Simon said why did u throw one at me when they are on the same team. Sam said because the girls have gone inside, A few minutes later the two boys also came inside with the two happy girls

Shevin and Sarah were watching TV. They were watching Art Attack. When the boys came in they started to watch Art Attack too. Soon Sarah realised that she was watching TV for half the morning so she told Shevin that they should play something else and switched off the TV. The two girls went upstairs and started to draw people from Lloyd in Space, Kimpossible, and Recess. The boys soon joined the girls and went in Simons room because they wanted to play battles with the girls. Sarah didnt want to as she was too busy drawing. But Shevin wanted to, then finally Shevin agreed not to and the girls thought of a plan to steal all the boys weapons by telling them there was chocolates downstairs. The boys raced downstairs shouting with joy. But when they got there the Mums wouldnt give them any kitkats. Soon they realised it was all a trick. Meanwhile, the girls had stolen all the weapons so the boys couldnt fight the girls. Then Shevin and Sarah carried on with their drawings.

Shevin and Sarah started to get a little bit hungry. They went downstairs to ask the Mums for some food, but mum said no because it wasnt lunchtime. Mums friend said what time do you have your lunch at school? Sarah answered and said They have it just after 12 oclock. Then Mums friend replied Theyll if you theyre at school you wouldnt be having your food yet. Then the girls grumbled upstairs. Shevin was bored of colouring in so the girls asked the boys if they wanted to play. Then they discovered that the boys had moved Samuels bed right in front of the door so no one could come in. Sarah went to tell her mum and complained. Mum came up and she wasnt that mad, she said I dont mind if you mess it up as long as you tidy it up afterwards. The girls went in the boys room. Simon said they have a secret clubhouse, and you cant go in without socks on. Sarah creeped in anyway. Simon started to get a bit cross. Sarah said why do you have to have socks on? Simon replied because if you dont have socks on you might stink up the place. Sarah said how? Simon said just because you might Simon went crazy about germs and didnt like to give Sarah a kiss at bedtime.

The girls went back to cary on with their drawings. They asked Sarahs mum if it was time for lunch. Sarahs mum replied well we should wait for Shevins mum because shes bringing lots of food.

It was a very poor argument .So the two girls hungrily went back into Sarahs room and finished off their pictures. Then the girls went downstairs and discovered that Shevins mum had arrived. She was helping Sarah and Simons mum to make the lunch. Shevins mum gave a bag to Sarah and said give these to sam and tell him to change into them and put Shevin and sams school clothes in here.

Sarah did as she was told and gave the clothes to Shevins mum. Then it was lunchtime they had ham sandwiches with dinosaurs cheese strings and Sarahs packed lunch.

Then the girls played hide and seek with Sam and Simon. Sarah hid under the bed and Shevin hid in Sarahs Dads clothes cupboard. When they had finished playing they all went downstairs and watched TV. Then it was time for Shevin and Sam to go. That evening Simon was so happy that he had such a lovely birthday. He said that God had gave him a birthday present- snow and no school!!!!

Simon and Sarahs dad put the children to bed that evening and told them a story about children just like them called The Warnocks.
