She is interested in blogging about the pope- I have yet to do this and probably wont in any great way. What I will say is it is perhaps somewhat surprising the degree of measured welcome that evangelicals are giving him. I did read his homily on a blog somewhere and was most struck by the statement about the dictatorship of relativism. It seems we are in danger of a new dark ages where it is people of any faith who will be persecuted. It may be that we need to find common cause with people of any faith when it comes to firstly protecting our way of life and secondly influencing laws that concern us such as about life and death. Perhaps there will come a time when evangelicals welcome a new Immam as he is a conservative on matters of morality- stranger things have happened.
