Earlier in the week I quoted a poem which I found on girltalk called The cookie thief
Interestingly, thanks to a commentator, google and amazon I have discovered that this story appears in print. The poem appears in Condensed Chicken Soup for the soul, and that book is cited as the source of the poem in a book called Femine Appeal by a certain author of GirlTalk. Theres even a Sesame Street book by the same name.
Douglas Adams of Hitchhiker guide to the galaxy fame claims this actually happened to him.
I wonder if this story has happened more than once in different forms……..
