Terry Virgo

Terry Virgo is a leader I have been looking up to spiritually for more than three decades. The founding leader of a family of over eight hundred churches in sixty nations, he is a godly, humble man whose preaching has shaped many thousands of lives, including my own. Newfrontiers, is a unique movement, being reformed in doctrine, charismatic in experience, missional in outlook, and strongly rooted in relationships.

Terry’s book The Spirit Filled Church forms an excellent introduction to the principles that have shaped his ministry. There are also a number of videos linked below which explore a statement of values that have guided his church planting efforts.

Adrian’s most recent interview with Terry is available in three parts as both a video and a transcript. Adrian also filmed an earlier interview.

Terry has hosted conferences such as Together On A Mission for decades, and highlights of his preaching include his series on Ephesians 6 (See talks 1, 2, and 3), and many more of his sermons are available at terryvirgo.org. Terry recommended Adrian book from the stage at the 2010 Brighton conference, and wrote the forward.

There is also a lot of other video from Terry Virgo shared here which really captures something of the heart of this remarkable man of God.  May God continue to use him to inspire many thousands of up and coming leaders.

You can follow Terry on Twitter, subscribe to his blog, or listen to his sermons at his podcast and vodcast.

February 1, 2012

This sermon is a good illustration of the difference between what Ed Stetzer calls an “aspirational charismatic” and one who pursues God for all he has for us today.  I urge you to watch it, and be stirred to enjoy what Jesus has purchased for us.  Downloads are available on the Jubilee site.

Ed Stetzer reflects on my New Frontiers USA brothers and sisters

November 1, 2011

Ed Stetzer is a great friend to many movements.  I do not think that there is anyone who preachers today to a broader range of evangelicalism. One thing that makes that possible is that he is ever eager to understand what movements actually do stand for.  It was such a blessing having him preach at [...]
