Tope, my pastor, preached this morning and last week on money (download the audio version of "Money Matters, Parts 1 and 2") and shared the following advice:

1. Thou shalt work hard.
   
   
2. Thou shalt establish a budget.
   
   
3. Thou shalt avoid debt like the plague.
   
   
4. Thou shalt distinguish between wants and needs.
   
   
5. Thou shalt determine when enough is enough.
   
   
6. Thou shalt not get involved in "get rich quick" schemes.
   
   
7. Thou shalt not compete with the Joneses.
   
   
8. Thou shalt not make any major financial decisions without getting advice.
   
   
9. Thou shalt not corrupt your kids with money.
   
   
10. Thou shalt not orientate your whole life around money.
